The second opinion

It's been 5 days since I was told that I was able to walk with my cast on. I could tell that my pain was improving everyday. And now the time has come to meet the other orthopaedic specialist to get my second opinion.

The doctor explained to me that it was alright to walk and after further discussion the doctor ordered an x ray of my normal foot to see if my medial cuneiform was congenitally separated, which was not.

He asked me to remove my cast and walk in the clinic, which I was able to do with little difficulty although it's still awkward to walk.

He told me not to run, jump or do activities that would put my foot in great stress for the time being. He said that I would be able to feel my limits. He didn't prescribe me any medicine or put me on a special diet. He basically asked me to carry out with my daily activities.

Being able to walk again even if it's a bit painful was such a relief and it helped to elate my mood after a while.
